Coffee didn't just find me,
it found us.
FIG. 03
From personal discovery to shared purpose.
At 23, I thought my journey with coffee was my own. But as I moved through experiences with Nostalgic Coffee Limited, my internship at the National Coffee Research Institute, and my time with the Makerere University Coffee Club, I realized something deeper.
I wasn't just learning about coffee. I was learning about people. Farmers whose hands feed nations. Families whose children go to school because of coffee. Communities whose livelihoods depend on every harvest.
And I wasn't alone in this awakening. Alongside me were my siblings, my family watching, listening, and falling in love with the same stories. We began to see coffee not as a crop, but as a gift. A gift that gives back.
That is where Esiimwe was born. Esiimwe means gratitude. And for our family, it is our way of saying thank you to the farmers, to the people who add value, to every hand that touches the bean before it reaches your cup.
Coffee Esiimwe is not my story alone. It is ours. Every bean carries more than coffee. It carries a story of purpose, possibility, and gratitude shared by a family, for the world.
